Evolve Eevee into Espeon
Way 1: Use Eevee Nick Trick to Get Espeon
Eevee's evolutions were initially left up to chance, and all players could do was hit evolve and hope they got the creature of their choice. However, Niantic added a way to get the exact 'Eeveelution' you want.
This trick entails renaming Eevee into one of a series of 8 nicknames, each for each evolution. Sakura is the name for Eevee's Espeon shift. If you want to change your Eevee into Espeon, you will have to rename it to its nickname, Sakura.
Name Eevee as Sakura to Get Espeon
Below is a list of all the nicknames and their evolution pokemon:
Way 2: Use Buddy Method to Evolve Eevee into Espeon
Espeon is one of the final three Eeveelutions, and these are based on friendship. This means you can use your friendship level to evolve Eevee, but this method can result in an Espeon or Umbreon depending on when you use it.
However, it is the next best method if you have already used the name trick option.
- Add Eevee as your buddy.
- Walk at least 10 kilometers with him.
- Prepare 25 Candies for this evolution. You will see the silhouette of Espeon in the daytime.

How to Evolve Eevee into Flareon, Vaporeon, and Jolteon.
These are the lowest and simplest Eeveelutions. There are 2 ways to evolve Eevee into one of these forms.
Way 1. Name Trick.
The first technique is renaming the Eevee to a particular nickname. The names are listed below:
- Vaporeon - Rainer
- Jolteon - Sparky
- Flareon - Pyro
- Collect 25 Eevee candies.
- Tap on your Eevee, then click on the pencil icon next to the name Eevee.
- Rename it Pyro for Flareon (Or Sparky for Jolteon and Rainer for Vaporeon).
- Tap Okay.
- Tap Evolve. Your Eevee will change into Flareon.
This technique guarantees which evolution you will receive.
Way 2. Random Evolution Method.
The random evolution method can evolve your Eevee to one of the lowest generation - Flareon, Jolteon, and Vaporeon.
Since you are not sure which type that Eevee will turn into, you may need to use many candies to all three.
If you want to get the full collection of Eeveelution, then this method will be good for you after you have collected all the other evolutions.
- Prepare necessary candies, 25 candies for each evolution.
- Please wait for the evolution and choose to evolve when it becomes available.
- Repeat the process if you do not get your desired evolution.
How to Evolve Eevee into Leafeon and Glaceon
To get Leafeon and Glaceon in Pokemon Go, you will need to use Name trick or Pokestop.
Way 1. Eevee Name trick.
Like in other Eevee evolutions, you can rename Eevee using specific nickname to get Leafeon and Glaceon. For Glaceon, the name is ‘Rea,’ while Leafeon uses the word 'Linnea.' Each evolution requires 25 Candies
Way 2. PokeStop.
You can get Leafeon & Glaceon by spending 200 Poke coins on them in PokeStop. It is a better option than the name trick, because a name trick can only be used once.
- Buy Glacial Lure Module for Leafeon and a Mossy Lure Module for Glaceon in the Poke store for 200 coins.
- Now go to a PokeStop and place the required lure down.
- Select the evolve button.
How to Evolve Eevee into Sylveon
Eevee can also evolve into Sylveon using the Name trick and Buddy method.
Way 1. Name Trick.
Sylveon is a fairy-type Pokemon and Eevee's final evolution. Of all Eeveelutions, Sylveon requires the most in-game work to get it. The nickname is 'Kira'. Remember, you can only use the name trick once, so it is hightly recommended to use it for Sylveon.
Way 2. Buddy method.
To evolve your Eevee into Sylveon, you will require at least 75 affection hearts. Following are the steps to evolve Eevee:
- Make Eevee as your walking buddy, feeding, and taking pictures.
- Next, interact with the Eevee to earn Hearts. Earn maximum hearts in a day that are 20 affection hearts. You will complete 75 hearts in 4 days.
- Once you are done collecting the hearts, use 25 Candies to transform Eevee into Sylveon.
How to Find Eevee Locations
The Pokedex description of Eevee states that it's rarely sighted, and this is true. This creature only appears in three locations:
- Northwest of Mesagoza on the Pokemon league route.
- The southern province, in the fields near Cortondo.
- Outside Medali in the western province.
Eevee found in the Northwest of Mesagoza begin at around level 7, those West of Cortondo at level 10, and level 30 for Eevee outside Medali. However, the chances of encountering this Pokemon are still low even after you arrive at these locations.
So, don't get discouraged if Eevee doesn't spawn when you are roaming the area. Instead, step inside the town boundaries, then step back out. This can reset the Pokemon within that area. You can also leave the region and then go right back. Eevee will spawn eventually.
Once you obtain two Eevees, you can get another by making them lay an egg. You can also breed Eevee evolutions to get a baby Eevee, but the creatures need to have compatible genders. For example, if a Jolteon and a Flareon lay an egg, you will get an Eevee. Breeding is the best way to get multiple Eevee.
Evolving Eevees takes time and plenty of Eevee candy, but this only adds to the thrill of the game. With the help of this guide, you can get through the 8 Eeveelutions much faster. Try the nickname technique first when evolving your Eevee, as it is the easiest. But remember, it works only once per Eeveelution form. All the best in your gameplay.
