Cradily is a Rock & Grass Pokémon which evolves from Lileep. It is vulnerable to Fighting, Bug, Steel and Ice moves. Cradily's strongest moveset is Infestation & Grass Knot and it has a Max CP of 2,211.
"Cradily roams around the ocean floor in search of food. This Pokémon freely extends its tree trunk-like neck and captures unwary prey using its eight tentacles."
Bullet Seed is Cradily’s best fast move, building energy pretty quickly and benefiting from STAB. Infestation offers the same energy generation, but falls behind slightly without STAB.
Stone Edge (100 power/55 energy) and Grass Knot (90 power/50 energy) benefit from STAB to provide very solid coverage, only being walled by Steel-types and certain dual-type Fighting Pokémon. Bulldoze (80 power/60 energy) isn’t very good. While you certainly could swap out either of the other moves to give you anti-Steel coverage, swapping Stone Edge leaves you hard walled by a lot of Flying-type Pokémon, and swapping Grass Knot just makes Cradily a worse version of Mud Shot/Stone Edge/Earthquake Quagsire (which is a better Great League investment anyway).
Cradily isn’t a fantastic choice in Great League, with pretty poor matchups against many the top tier Pokémon in the format. That said, if you have shields remaining when your opponent doesn’t, Cradily’s strong charged move options can allow it to deal some serious damage. For now, the Barnacle Pokémon is going to have to wait for the right Silph or GBL Cup format to really shine.
In the best case, Cradily can beat Pokémon like Swampert, which takes massive damage from Grass Knot. Most of the time, though, it will really underperform.
Cradily can’t really compete in Master League.
