PVP Mode Explanatory Notes

PvP Moveset Explanation
Bite + Crunch and Hyper Fang

Bite is the only reasonable Fast Move, giving Gumshoos a niche vs Ghost Pokemon.

Crunch costs the least amount of energy, which is important given the lack of fast energy generation, and helps Gumshoos wall Ghost-types even more. Hyper Fang costs slightly more energy and benefits from STAB, making it decent for neutral opponents, but can't be Super Effective against anything. Rock Tomb's coverage can be valuable, but its energy cost is very difficult to ask for.

PvP Rating Explanation
Great League: 1 / 5

Gumshoos has only one niche, and that's to hard counter Ghost-types with its typing and moveset. Aside from that, the lack of bulk and shield pressure is a painful detriment to Gumshoos.

Ultra League: 1 / 5

With a max CP of 2470 at level 50, Gumshoos is a very expensive option for Ultra League. Its lackluster performance discourages any thought of investing resources into it.

Master League: 0 / 5

Let me know when you decide to use Gumshoos in Master League. So I, uh, you know....can queue up at the same time as you. Yeah.
