PVP Mode Explanatory Notes

PvP Moveset Explanation
Mud Shot + Mud Bomb and Blizzard

Mud Shot, 1.5 DPT (Damage Per Turn) and 4.5 EPT (Energy Per Turn), is one of the best charge moves for the highest EPT allowing Whiscash to unleash a flurry of charge moves.

Mud Bomb, 55 Damage and 40 Energy, is able to be spammed because of its low energy cost, allowing it do force shields easily and do great damage if they decide to forgo shields. Blizzard, 135 Damage and 75 Energy cost, is a heavy hitting coverage move chosen for its valuable coverage.

Mud Shot + Mud Bomb and Water Pulse

Similar to the previous moveset, it will be aimed at fast EPT while apply shield pressure through low Energy cost charge moves. Mud Shot, 1.5 DPT (Damage Per Turn) and 4.5 EPT (Energy Per Turn), will give us the EPT needed to spam charge moves on our enemy. Mud Bomb, 55 Damage and 40 Energy cost, will give us that great coverage for low energy cost. Water Pulse, 70 Damage and 60 Energy cost, will give us coverage over Fire, Rock and Ground and provide us with good neutral damage to 12/18 types.

PvP Rating Explanation
Great League: 4 / 5

Whiscash is an incredible Pokemon for the Great League. It’s high EPT fast move and low Energy cost charge moves allow it to unleash charge moves on the enemy. Also only having one weakness of Grass, it can take a hit from the majority of the meta, however, watch out for Razor Leaf users, as Whiscash can often get torn apart before you get the chance to react. However, shifts in the meta toward Pokémon not quite so punished by Blizzard have somewhat pushed it out of the top tier. Still a very powerful choice if you're trying to spam Mud Bomb, though!

Ultra League: 3.5 / 5

Despite its CP which caps at below 2100, Whiscash can put some pressure on huge threats like Giratina and Registeel thanks to its quick Ground and Ice coverage! The fact that Grass-types are less relevant here also helps.

Master League: 0 / 5

Somewhat usable, but there are better options for the Master League for Ground type attackers. It is recommended to keep Whiscash in the lower leagues.
