Exeggcute is a Grass & Psychic Pokémon. It is vulnerable to Bug, Flying, Poison, Ghost, Fire, Ice and Dark moves. Exeggcute's strongest moveset is Confusion & Psychic and it has a Max CP of 1,175. Exeggcute evolves into Exeggutor.
"This Pokémon consists of six eggs that form a closely knit cluster. The six eggs attract each other and spin around. When cracks increasingly appear on the eggs, Exeggcute is close to evolution."
While Confusion doesn't generate as much energy as Bullet Seed, its significantly higher damage output makes it overall more preferable.
Seed Bomb takes advantage of STAB and also requires the least amount of energy among Exeggcute's charge moves. Ancient Power offers coverage against 4 of Exeggcute's weaknesses, but its pitiful damage output might not be worth it. Psychic is the only other option available, and hits hard with STAB.
With a max CP of 1175, Exeggcute shouldn't really be used for PvP in general. The Silph Arena's Rainbow cup in June 2019 highlighted a niche with Exeggutor's former legacy Confusion moveset, and due to its rarity, many trainers looked to its pre-evolution for access to Confusion. Unfortunately for Exeggcute, not only does it lack sufficient stats, but its Grass/Psychic typing leaves it vulnerable to SEVEN typings, while offering six resistances in return. The April 2020 rebalance also shut down any viability that Exeggcute could hope for; look at Exeggutor instead.
Should be pretty obvious, right?
