Clefable is a Fairy Pokémon which evolves from Clefairy. It is vulnerable to Poison and Steel moves. Clefable's strongest moveset is Charm & Meteor Mash and it has a Max CP of 2,437.
"Clefable moves by skipping lightly as if it were flying using its wings. Its bouncy step lets it even walk on water. It is known to take strolls on lakes on quiet, moonlit nights."
The addition of Charm is a significant buff to Clefable, benefiting from STAB while enabling Clefable to deal Fairy-type damage without relying on charge moves.
Meteor Mash is a staple for Metagross, but Clefable also has access to it and all the perks that come with it. Due to the rest of Clefable's charge moves being very expensive energy-wise, Meteor Mash sees a lot of use as either a very powerful Steel-type attack, and/or a 50 energy shield-bait. Psychic is now preferred as the second charge move of choice to help cover against Clefable's vulnerability to Poison-types.
Clefable is an odd candidate for PvP, as a mono-Fairy type with decent bulk and a relatively slow moveset. The move rebalances in January and July 2019 gave Clefable two very good moves: Meteor Mash and Charm, respectively. As a mono-Fairy, Clefable sports a unique set of resistances against common meta picks, which includes Altaria and Umbreon. Interestingly enough, Clefable is also capable of completely walling Medicham regardless of shield advantages or disadvantages thanks to Charm. Due to the low energy generation of Charm, Clefable has a difficult time applying shield pressure on its opponents, and overall doesn't perform as well against foes who aren't weak to Fairy-type.
Thanks to the move rebalance on July 9, 2019, the addition of Charm to Clefable's moveset enables it to perform significantly better in Ultra League. Being able to completely wall both Giratinas regardless of their movesets or shield scenarios is a very valuable perk to have in a meta where Giratina's dominance makes it the the center of attention. In addition, Clefable can also beat many Pokemon that previously complimented Giratina such as Lucario and Poliwrath. Overall a very solid option in the current meta game that will likely change how players deal with Giratina and the meta surrounding it. Just keep the pink fairy away from Steel-types.
With a max CP of 2437 at level 40, Clefable lacks the stats needed to compete with many of the popular picks in Masters League.
